The Objective

Wai Wai (Oriental style / Proong sum red taste) is a signature traditional flavor that has only been available in Wai Wai for over a decade. Wai- wai Oriental style has a strong brand image that never changes in both flavor and packaging and was once very popular. But, this pleasant flavor loses product and brand recognition among the new Generation group and is unrelated to them (Gen Z). Moreover,the wai-wai Oriental style flavor has been given several wrong names by consumers. As a result, Wai-wai Oriental style( Proong sum red taste) has an outdated brand image among the new generation, which make wai-wai not related in their routine purchases. Honeycomb offered Wai-wai the bring back this flavor to the market and getting the new generation (Gen Z) to remember. Without changing the packaging, brand, or flavor. We try to keep as much of the original packaging as possible while still delivering wai-wai to the next generation.

Our Brand Storytelling is inspired by legendary 90s teen stories and trends, which are still going viral today. There are a lot of viral songs and toys that were popular in the past, but now they’re digital, several things in 90’s has been disrupted and gone missing
But the flavor of Wai-wai Oriental style / Proong Sum Red hasn’t gone away for Thai teens from the past to the present, in spite of the fact that certain things changed in many ways.
